9ct Yellow Gold Sandcast Signet Style Rings with 4.3ct & 2.4ct Own Sapphires

Our lovely customers commissioned a lapidarist to cut these exceptionally sparkly sapphires to their specifications. The depth, colour and clarity of both gemstones was truly phenomenal to behold, and we worked closely alongside our customers to realise their bespoke vision to best showcase such stunning and personally meaningful sapphires.

We drew inspiration from across our Commissions Gallery to create designs that would both protect and showcase the stunning sapphires. Both our customers loved the organic sandcast texture and how the dappled finish both contrasts and compliments the sharp facets and clarity of the sapphires.

For the more rounded sapphire, we looked towards the bezel setting in our Sandcast Ring Made From Heirloom Gold & Diamond. We particularly love how the bezel setting frames the dazzling sapphire, with the multitude of bright blue tones sparkling from every angle. Sinking the stone & setting slightly into the tapering band allows for the larger profile of the sapphire to be showcased while still feeling comfortable to wear daily.

Regarding the sapphire with sharper edged facets, our customer particularly loved the chunkiness of our Salt & Pepper Emerald Cut Diamond Ring in 9ct White Gold. Entirely encasing a stone within the gold adds a significant level of protection to a gemstone with fine or sharp edges. They also loved how a signet style profile could accommodate a sizeable stone set both vertically and horizontally. We found the vertical alignment of the sapphire quite captivating to gaze into!

Both rings were cast in 9ct yellow gold, which we found to be a beautiful compliment to the oceanic hues of the sapphires, and finished with a subtle antique polish to accentuate the sparkle of the stones.
