Rainbow Sapphire & Diamond Scatter Ring in Sandcast Heirloom Gold

When our lovely customers came to visit our workshop to view our collections and discuss the possibilities of remodelling their heirloom jewellery, they hoped to commission "something colourful" - we like to think that we nailed it! From the workshop to the office, we were all rather besotted with this gorgeous rainbow sapphire scatter ring, which sparkles from every angle.

Our lovely customer particularly enjoyed the wavy width of our one-off Sapphire Sea Treasure Ring, and how the scattered sapphires flow through the undulating gold as if being gently buoyed through a bubbling ocean. We incorporated this sense of fluidity into our customer's ring, varying the width between 8mm and 3mm to create a flowing tactility that feels very reminiscent of the naturalistic forms from Justin's early experiments with sandcasting, directly on the beach.

We scattered a dazzling rainbow of ethically sourced new and recycled sapphires throughout the wavy band of the ring. The variance in width allows for rather sizeable gemstones to be set alongside smaller sapphires, creating a glorious kaleidoscope of harmony and motion. Our customer's own glittery heirloom white diamond contrasts beautifully with the multitude of rainbow sapphires and the almost rosy hue of remodelled heritage gold.

It is always a pleasure to give stunning and sentimental precious materials a new lease of life. We compiled a Journal post - Remodel Your Old Jewellery - outlining the process and possibilities of reimagining your own heirloom jewellery into pieces to be loved and worn anew.
