Sandcast Engagement Ring with Oval Blue Sapphire & Six White Diamonds

Our lovely customer wished to respectfully reimagine a family heirloom into an engagement ring more befitting their partner's tastes and preferences, while honouring their sentimental materials. Their ideas were centred around this stunning and rather magnificent oval sapphire, with queries as to how best display such a dazzling gemstone while also showcasing six equally stunning white diamonds. 

We clustered their beautiful heirloom diamonds into two trios that flank the sapphire, then set all the gemstones in 9ct yellow gold claws to match the body of the ring. We love how delicate the ring feels despite the sizeable stones and how the high shine of an antique polish finish compliments the glitter of the sapphire and diamonds. The ring feels wonderfully classical and timeless, with the subtle texture imparted by sandcasting lending a more contemporary element to the design. We particularly love how light floods the gemstones, meaning the diamonds and sapphire shine beautifully from every angle.
