This heirloom remodel is an especially gorgeous example of our 4mm Extra Texture Sandcast Diamond Scatter Ring, which has inspired numerous commissions with the most dazzling arrays of gemstones, in all colours and carats of precious metals. The deep divots of sandcast texture, often darkened by ruthenium plating, provide perfect homes for gemstones to be nestled into.

Our lovely customer felt especially inspired by our previously commissioned 22ct Gold Extra Texture Sandcast Ring with Organically Set Diamonds, enjoying how the diamonds seem to be erupting from deep within the gold like naturally occurring crystalline formations. We chose to concentrate the diamonds in an organic cluster across the front of the ring, which undulates in width to accommodate the stones without becoming bulky, and feel the effect is akin to sparkly bubbles floating through the ocean.

We think the completed scatter ring is a testament to the possibilities of reimagining inherited jewellery.
