Sandcast Extra Texture Ring with Own Sapphires & Diamonds in Bespoke Setting and Sandcast Extra Texture Heirloom Diamond Scatter Ring
This sparkly stack of sandcast rings were made from our customer's remodelled heirloom jewellery - for details of the possibilities and processes of reworking your own precious metals & gemstones, please see our listing and our journal post. When reworking your own materials we can never guarantee the colour or carat outcome, but always enjoy seeing more bespoke shades of gold emerge from the cast, like this delightfully sandy 9ct yellow gold. For detailed information regarding the standard colours & carats of precious metals we work with, please see our journal post.
Our lovely customer had a vision for two ocean inspired stacking rings with naturalistic undulations that would still sit seamlessly against one another, with sentimental sapphires and diamonds adorning buttery 9ct yellow gold. They loved the rugged finish of our Extra Texture Sandcast Collection, feeling especially drawn towards the scatter of twinkly vintage diamonds set into divots of texture in our 4mm Extra Texture Sandcast x7 Diamond Scatter Ring. Our customer opted to concentrate their diamonds across the front of the ring for a dazzling clustered effect, with the vintage stones glittering as if formed within the precious metal.
For the jewel encrusted topmost ring, we designed a bespoke multi-stone setting compromised of a mixture of open & closed bezels and organic claws. We wanted the sapphires and diamonds to evoke the foam of a frothing ocean, ethereally floating across the band yet held securely for daily wear. The custom setting frames each gemstone, giving beautiful and sentimental sapphires and diamonds a much deserved new lease of life.
We were especially delighted with our lovely customer proclaiming that the finished rings looked like they'd been "made in the sea", with the rings feeling truly collaborative between us and our customer, and the awe inspiring elements that mean so much to us here in Cornwall, from sea to sand.
