Sandcast Pebble Beaded Necklace in Heirloom 9ct Yellow, White & Rose Gold

This sandcast beaded necklace was commissioned by our lovely customer, in memorial. We were honoured to be entrusted with such a special idea and worked closely together to entirely realise every aspect of their vision. We were all rather dazzled and captivated by the finished piece, with the glorious heft of the necklace feeling akin to the emotional sentiment each bead held.

Each beaded form was crafted entirely by hand, so no two were entirely alike, each picking up a different level of dappled texture from the casting process. The organically hewed beads were cast from our customer's heirloom gold, in a mixture of ashes and hand-collected sand, imbuing each segment with meaning and sentiment. Threading the beads onto a sturdy 18ct white gold chain gave the piece a wonderful sense of movement when worn, and a terrific tactility.

We think the finished piece embodies beauty and emotion, being both a stunning piece of fine jewellery to be enjoyed for generations, and a weighted, considered tribute suffused with personal significance. The necklace truly felt like treasure, irreplaceable and spectacular.
