Sculptural 22ct Yellow Gold Sandcast Ring with Five Rough Diamonds

It's always very exciting when Jennifer gets in touch with an idea for a commission. 

We were all rather in love with her previously commissioned Rough Diamond Bezel Set in 22ct Yellow Gold Ring, and were delighted when she got back in touch to commission a stunning companion ring that would also look equally spectacular when worn alone.

Inspired by the handmade forms and geometric shapes of traditional Omani Bedouin jewellery, the design was centred around showcasing these gorgeous square shaped rough diamonds. 

Raising the sandcast bezel settings away from the body of the ring really highlights the beautifully organic texture of the glittery uncut diamonds. The gloriously rich orange hues of reworked heirloom 22ct gold provide a beautiful contrast to the steely tones of the gemstones.

We love how the dappled texture imparted by sandcasting makes the ring seem both like a dazzling ancient artefact while still feeling contemporary in design. Jennifer's Sculptural Sandcast 22ct Yellow Gold Rough Diamond Pendant was commissioned at the same time and both finished pieces had an incredible tactility and presence.
