We always enjoy working closely with our customers on commissions and this timeless yet contemporary bridal set was certainly no exception.
Gideon had his own cushion cut diamond with a hearts and arrows cut, a variation on the traditional brilliant cut.
The Engagement Ring
Heart and arrow diamonds are cut to ideal proportions that create a near perfect pattern of eight arrows from the table view (top) and eight hearts from the pavilion view (bottom). Once he had snuck his soon-to-be-fiancée’s ring size in her sleep (miraculously pulled off!), we set the beautiful diamond diagonally on a lovely 2mm sandcast band in 18ct white gold. He chose to cast the ring in the sparkly sand from Samson in the Isles of Scilly, in a custom made brass mould as a keepsake for the couple. Just three months later we received our favourite kind of e-mail: “My fiancée Kim absolutely loves her engagement ring.” Shortly after, the couple came to visit the workshop to choose wedding rings. They met Justin and discussed the lovely design you can see in the photo.
The Wedding RingsKim’s wedding ring matched her engagement ring in 18ct white gold. They chose the rougher sand of Sennen Beach for the wedding rings. Which imparted more texture and setting the wedding bands apart. The band contours the engagement ring, meeting in a point pavé set with little diamonds. Her wedding ring frames her solitaire ring beautifully and gives this timeless piece a contemporary edge. Gideon chose for himself a 4mm sandcast ring in 18ct white gold, completing this contemporary bridal set. If you have any questions about commissioning a piece, simply get in touch. We are happy to help you in the design process, through e-mails or by visiting us. As a result, you can be as involved in creating your dream rings as you like.
