Sandcast 9ct Yellow Gold Signet Ring with Star Set Scatter of Vintage Diamonds
Our lovely customer felt inspired by our 12mm Cascading Diamond Signet Ring. They particularly enjoyed how the scatter of twinkly vintage diamonds were set amongst tiny hand engraved stars, with grains of sand captured in the casting process creating a beautiful harmony of textures. Our customer had a preference for a more pronounced signet profile, with a wider face and more robust shoulders and we love how this allows the diamonds to seemingly float across the ring.
Signet rings were historically used to seal wax with a personal emblem, with each signet therefore being entirely unique to the wearer. Vintage diamonds are also wonderfully varied by nature, with no two stones appearing to be identical. We love the eclectic character of these inimitable gemstones and find them a delightful choice for a signet diamond scatter ring, harkening to the historically individual nature of these delightfully customisable rings.
We compiled a journal post detailing some key differences between vintage diamonds and modern cut stones, which you can read here. A further journal post, How to Design Your Vintage Diamond Ring, contains additional details to consider when utilising these gorgeous gemstones. Our Signet Ring Collection also contains a multitude of inspiration for these wonderfully versatile rings.
