Sandcast Platinum Pendant with Alexandrite & Laser Engraving

This pendant was made for Justin's friend's gift to his wife on their 20th wedding anniversary and a lot of thought went into each element.

The gemstone is an Alexandrite, chosen because she was born in Alexandria.
A 20th anniversary gift is traditionally china - and she used to live in China, the characters engraved on the back mean 'Love'.
The modern gift is platinum, which we cast in sand from Bryer on the Isles of Scilly.
Lastly, the triangle shape symbolises their three children.

Sadly we can no longer sandcast in Palladium & Platinum due to the volatility of these metals during the casting process. The closest colour alternative would be 14ct or 18ct white gold. These images remain on our Commissions Gallery as examples of our design & techniques.
