Shaped Wedding Set of Rings with Old Mine Cut Diamond, Vintage Diamonds & Tourmalines in Sandcast Extra Texture 14ct Yellow Gold & 9ct Yellow Gold Sandcast Earrings with Diamonds
To create this beautiful and glittery wedding suite of jewellery, our lovely customers reimagined a host of much loved, yet unworn, heirloom rings. We love honouring the sentiment of heritage jewellery by reworking them into meaningful pieces to be loved and worn anew. For detailed information regarding the process of reworking heritage materials, please see our listing.
Each wedding band was designed to echo one another, cast in the same colour & carat of gold and shaped to a similar curve while maintaining a sense of individuality. Our blog post, Choosing a Shaped Wedding Band, contains information on points of consideration when designing a shaped wedding band. Additionally, we compiled a journal post detailing some inspirations for both eclectic and traditional multi-stone engagement rings, which you can explore here.
The ring set with vintage diamonds & tourmalines was designed to compliment the dainty and sparkly engagement ring. We love how the glittery green hues of the gemstones unify the rings as a set, while the oxidised, rugged texture provides a beautiful contrast to delicate claw settings.
The standalone wedding band was upsized to accommodate the stunning central mine cut diamond. Mine cut diamonds were cut by hand, to maximise the twinkle reflecting from candlelight, meaning each stone is entirely individual. Our journal post contains detailed information on the differences between these illustrious vintage gemstones and modern brilliant cut diamonds.
Inspired by our Sandcast Gold & Diamond Studs, these sparkly 9ct gold studs were a gorgeous addition to the suite, intended as a gift for a family member of the wedding party and breathing new life into the pair of beautifully sizeable diamonds. Sandcasting the bezel setting encasing the stones adds a subtle texture that almost twinkles in the light.
