Silver Sandcast Kos Pendant Ring
Made by Jamila, this piece can be worn as a pendant or as a ring. It was very much inspired by the idea of making a versatile two in one piece of jewellery that felt just as special however it was worn.
The name 'Kos' was suggested by one of our lovely followers and is Norwegian for mindfulness and comfort. It felt a fitting choice as the shape and feel of the pendant is reminiscent of skimming stones. This piece was cast from recycled silver and in sand from Kos Island in Greece.
The sand has given the pendant ring a really lovely organic texture, capturing some of the grains within the silver itself to almost look like little gemstones.
This pendant is from the Off the Bench Peg archives, a space in which our jewellers are given total freedom creatively, using reclaimed materials to craft one-off & bespoke pieces.
