Acacia

The name ‘Acacia’ is derived from the Greek word ‘ἀκίς’, meaning ‘thorn’ – a reference to the tree’s spiny branches. In Freemasonry the tree is used as symbol of purity and endurance of the soul, while the Ancient Egyptians associated it with characteristics of the tree of life.

In the last slide you can see an example of an Acacia wood ring. The ring pictured is an R1E 9mm in silver.
