Sevenstones Pendant II - Off the Bench Peg

Made by Justin, inspired by the lost lands of Lyoness, this pendant has the feel of an ancient coin, worn away from centuries on the seabed, and thread onto a chain.

Cast from recycled silver in a mixture of sand from Mounts Bay, Penzance and Samson on the Isles of Scilly. It is 25mm diameter and hangs on an 18" silver curb chain.

This pendant is one of the reults of a wider project exporing the legends and myths of Cornwall. Justin created a treasure hoard, hauled up from the bottom of the sea around Sevenstones reef - imagined evidence of a land lost to the sea centuries ago. The treasures, coins and buttons, bear markings of a labyrinth, similar to the one found on St Agnes in the Isles of Scilly. It is extremely old, and people have walked its path for hundreds of years. Some of these treasures have been turned into the one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces now available on Off the Bench Peg.
