18ct Yellow Gold Sandcast Ensō Ring with Scatter of Heirloom Diamonds

Our lovely customer was in search of a bespoke ring design that would suit being worn on a thumb, while reworking sentimental heirloom materials.

They looked towards our Commissions Gallery for inspiration on uniquely shaped rings, and was inspired by our 9ct Yellow Gold Sandcast Ensō Ring.

Within Zen philosophy, an Ensō is a circle hand-drawn in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create. We love how the fluid shape of the ring is reminiscent of these dynamic brush strokes.

We bead set twenty one of our customer's stunning heritage diamonds within the exterior and interior of the band. We love how the the largest central stone is set within divots of texture within the 'head' of the ring, as if organically growing out of the metal.
